Please send an email or text including your name and your child's name. I will use the provided contact details to contact you if your immediate attention is required.
We will be embarking on our adventure on 6/28/2019 and return around noon on 6/29/2021, please arrive at our house around 11:00AM on 6/28.
Please keep in mind it is tick season, I will address this in further detail in the next section. You are welcome to bring additional items, these are just the bare necessities we'll expect you to bring. If you do not have access to one of these items please let us know so we can try to accommodate.
Due to high tick populations this year we will be applying picaridin to the skin and permethrin to clothing. If you prefer another repellent please bring it with you.
As a further precaution two sided tape will be applied where the pant legs meet the shoe.
Regular checks will be performed (head, neck, arms, legs, etc.), please instruct your child on how to perform checks privately on sensitive areas.
If a tick is found we will be following the CDC's advice for removal, removing a tick, and will inform you so that you can have your child treated appropriately. If the tick is in a sensitive area you will be asked how you would like to proceed. The child may remove the tick themselves, you may come to the campsite and remove it for your child, or you may wait until they return home.
Food, water, habitat, etc. will all be provided, and hydration highly encouraged.
Please let me know of any allergies or additional requirements your child may have.
If you have any additional questions please include it in your email or text.
Looking forward to getting out there!
